About the Group

Being a working mom often means living in the in-between—career, caregiving, and everything else competing for your attention. A Working Mom group is a place to sort through that complexity with others who understand it firsthand. Together, you’ll explore what balance actually looks like for you, while building connection and support.

Groups are open to mothers, adoptive mothers, and non-gestational mothers with children aged 0-5 who are employed, whether working outside the home or remotely. Participants may be at any stage of their return-to-work journey—preparing to return, recently back, or more than a year in. Attendees may choose to attend with or without their child.

These groups are offered virtually so you can join from the comfort of your own home.

What You'll Experience

This group brings together a small circle of working moms who meet weekly to talk through real-life challenges and trade perspective. There’s no pressure to perform or present a polished version of your life.

A trained facilitator helps guide conversation, but the heart of the experience is the honest, relatable dialogue that unfolds naturally over time.

What You'll Learn

Discussions focus on the intersection of work and family life—how decisions get made, how trade-offs feel, and how priorities shift over time. Topics may include career transitions, childcare realities, boundaries, burnout, and redefining success.

You’ll also talk about identity, relationships, and the invisible load many working moms carry, while learning from others navigating similar paths.

FAQs

Why does PEPS have a program fee?

PEPS is a nonprofit organization that does not receive government funding. Program fees make up approximately 30% of our annual budget and help ensure we can maintain high-quality programming and a dedicated staff team. The remaining 70% comes from donations by individuals, foundations, and businesses—which is why your support beyond the program fee matters so much.

What does my PEPS Group program fee cover?

Your program fee directly supports the programs you participate in—including training and support for Group Leaders, program materials, community partnerships, program evaluation, and the administrative costs that keep everything running. Fees are set based on program length, group size, and the level of facilitation and support involved.

How many families can I expect to be in my group?

One parent groups typically consist of 5–10 families. Groups that have a blend of one or two parent families attending typically consist of 4–8 families.

When should I register for a group?

As soon as possible! Groups fill quickly, so register as soon as you can to secure the group of your choice. If groups have low enrollment, they may be cancelled. When families register early, we know that there is interest in the group.

What if I need to change or cancel my registration?

When requests are made 2 weeks prior (or more) to the start of the group, a full refund will be given, minus the non-refundable registration fee which is equal to 10% of the program fee option you selected. No refunds will be given after the start of your PEPS group. Email us with any requests.

If your group is cancelled by PEPS for any reason, we will do our best to find you a different group or refund you in full.
