Lead a Group

Leading a PEPS Group is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to your community. You don't need to be an expert, just a compassionate communicator who believes in the power of parents supporting parents.

Whether or not you've been part of a PEPS Group yourself, if you care about helping families thrive, this might be for you.

Lead a Group - Why Lead

Why Lead a Group

As a Group Leader, you create the space where something real happens. Parents arrive feeling overwhelmed and isolated, and you help them leave with confidence, knowledge, and connections that can last a lifetime. Many leaders say it's one of the most rewarding things they've ever done.

We Always Need Group Leaders

Group Leaders make our work possible, facilitating hundreds of groups each year and reaching thousands of families.

As demand continues to grow, so does the need for new and returning leaders. Your involvement directly expands access to support for parents who need it now.

Co-leading is also an option, offering a flexible way to share the commitment while doubling the support for participants.

Is This Right For Me?

Answers to some common questions we receive about being a PEPS Group Leader.

What is the Time Commitment?

Programs typically runs 9-12 weeks, with an average weekly commitment of 3-4 hours, including group sessions, preparation, and support check-ins. Leaders also complete a one-time, three-hour training.

If your schedule is tight, co-leading is a great way to share the commitment.

Do I Have the Expertise Needed?

No prior expertise is required. PEPS Group Leaders aren’t expected to be experts. You’re there to guide conversation, not provide answers. Training, materials, and ongoing support will prepare you, and your lived experience as a parent is what matters most.

Can I Make This Work With My Existing Schedule?

Yes! PEPS offers flexible options to fit a variety of schedules. Groups meet during the day or evening, across most days of the week, and in many locations. With different formats and the option to co-lead, you can find a setup that works with your availability.

Are There Groups Near Me That Need a Leader?

PEPS reaches families across the Puget Sound region, and there’s an ongoing need for Group Leaders in many communities. With hundreds of groups offered each year and demand continuing to grow, there are often opportunities nearby where you can make a meaningful difference.
