As babies grow, everything starts to change—movement, communication, routines, and your role as a parent. Parents of 5-12 Month Olds groups are a place to stay grounded in the middle of that change, connecting with other parents of older babies while making sense of what this stage brings.
Groups are open to parents with babies aged 5-12 months. One parent attends each week with their baby.
Groups are offered virtually and in person at community sites. For site-based groups, families meet at the same location each week.
You’ll meet weekly with a consistent group of parents and babies, building familiarity in a relaxed, baby-friendly environment.
Sessions include guided discussion, but there’s plenty of room for spontaneous conversation, shared observations, and connection. Whether online or at a community site, the group becomes a steady touchpoint in a busy phase.
Discussions center on developmental milestones and the evolving rhythm of daily life. Topics may include mobility, communication, feeding transitions, sleep changes, and growing independence.
You’ll also explore your own experience as a parent during this shift—how routines, expectations, and energy levels are changing.
The PEPS curriculum makes it easy and low-stress. I just feel really set up for success. The parents are full of insight and good energy. It's been fun to see the parents connecting and interesting to see how I've grown and changed as a leader since my first stint back in 2018.

To eliminate financial barriers, we offer a range of flexible program fee options, allowing families to choose an amount that fits their budget while keeping fees accessible for all.
As a nonprofit, we encourage you to select Option A if you are able.
If you are unable to afford one of the flexible pricing options, financial assistance can be provided through the support of our generous donors.
To apply, email PEPS staff.
PEPS is a nonprofit organization that does not receive government funding. Program fees make up approximately 30% of our annual budget and help ensure we can maintain high-quality programming and a dedicated staff team. The remaining 70% comes from donations by individuals, foundations, and businesses—which is why your support beyond the program fee matters so much.
Your program fee directly supports the programs you participate in—including training and support for Group Leaders, program materials, community partnerships, program evaluation, and the administrative costs that keep everything running. Fees are set based on program length, group size, and the level of facilitation and support involved.
One parent groups typically consist of 5–10 families. Groups that have a blend of one or two parent families attending typically consist of 4–8 families.
As soon as possible! Groups fill quickly, so register as soon as you can to secure the group of your choice. If groups have low enrollment, they may be cancelled. When families register early, we know that there is interest in the group.
When requests are made 2 weeks prior (or more) to the start of the group, a full refund will be given, minus the non-refundable registration fee which is equal to 10% of the program fee option you selected. No refunds will be given after the start of your PEPS group. Email us with any requests.
If your group is cancelled by PEPS for any reason, we will do our best to find you a different group or refund you in full.
